The CRUES is pleased to invite you to a feminist bootcamp on the weekend of March 16 and 17th, 2024!
To attend, please register using the following form, as food portions will be calculated according to the number of participants: https://forms.gle/27c3DQxzm6d5Dq446
Between 5 and 6 workshops will be given per day, and socializing activities will be planned for the evenings. There will be introductive workshops on activism and associative work from a feminist perspective, as well as theoretical presentations on feminism and intersectionality. The training camp is open to all student who wish to participate (it isn’t necessary to be an exec for your association).
Here are some of the topics to be covered:
- ABC of feminism
- ABC of mobilization from a care perspective
- Direct action
- Capacitism
- What it means to be an exec from an intersectional and feminist perspective
- Decolonial feminism
- Mood watching
- Transformative justice and sexual violence
- The struggle for paid internships
- Strike organizing 101
- Egalitarian practices in student associations:
- Allyship and empowerment
- Inclusive mechanisms applied in the real world
- Transfeminism
Participation in the training camp is free of charge (food and accommodation provided)
The event will take place at the Colonie des grèves de Contrecœur, near Sorel-Tracy (10350 QC-132, Contrecœur, QC J0L 1C0), with a public transport departure from Montreal (Berri-UQAM) on Friday evening (March 15). Carpooling will be organized for participants from other regions.
Unfortunately, the bootcamp venue is not accessible to everyone. It is necessary to climb a few steps (about 4) and the corridors are too narrow for wheelchairs.
More information is available in the registration form above.
Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions
We hope to see you in large numbers
In solidarity,
